What is the XTERMIN Happiness Guarantee?
What is XTERMIN’s refund policy?
If you are not 100% satisfied we will re-service your home or business for free between regularly scheduled visits. We will do everything possible to ensure your happiness and loyalty to XTERMIN. Because there is no way to prevent you from ever seeing a bug or critter on your property and because in order to have the most effective pest control requires participation by our customers to keep their homes clean and sanitary both inside and out, we do not offer refunds for services rendered. Rest assured, our goal is your happiness and we will help educate you on how we can both work together to keep your property virtually pest free.
Is there a cancellation fee for general pest control service?
No. We do not charge cancellation fees since we don’t do typical pest control contracts. We only ask that if you need to cancel a scheduled service that you do so at least 1 business day prior. If you need to cancel recurring service (Service Agreement) please contact us at least one week prior to your billing date. If you signed up for service under a special promotional offer, you may be required to re-pay the original discount amount if cancelling within 12-months. This will be clearly specified in the service agreement that you signed so there are no surprises.
Are my kids and pets safe after you spray?
Our products are among the safest pesticides available. You should avoid the areas that were treated until they have dried (usually 30-60 minutes). People and pets should use common sense and avoid unnecessary exposure to treated areas. Our technicians will provide you with the product label at your request.
I am moving to a state where XTERMIN doesn’t provide service, how do I cancel my service?
Easy. Give us a call or use our contact form and let us know. We’ll take care of it right away.
How often will I be billed?
Our bi-monthly customers have the choice of being billed each month or bi-monthly on the months we perform their regular service. We have found that most customers prefer to be billed monthly as that allows for easy budgeting since most people manage their finances on a monthly basis. Many also choose to take advantage of our generous discount for those who wish to pre-pay the full year.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards. We do automated billing with what we call EZpay. With EZpay, you enter your credit card number into our secured billing one-time and your payment is auto-deducted each payment cycle. You don’t have to worry about accidentally forgetting to mail the check. We have found that over 98% of customers prefer EZpay. Your account information is very safe. XTERMIN doesn’t actually store your card information – your info is stored in a ‘vault’ at our credit processor. They understand security.
Do you treat for scorpions with your bi-monthly service?
Yes – this is another way we strive to ensure you are happy. Unlike many of our competitors, we treat for normal scorpion activity as part of our regular bi-monthly service. Some of the other common pests included in out treatments are crickets, cockroaches (except german cockroaches), ants, spiders, earwigs, beetles and over 20 other types of pests.
Can I just have you service my home whenever I want?
Yes, but we don’t recommend that approach. Infrequent treatment is very ineffective at controlling pests around your home. Our proven method of bi-monthly service is the most cost effective and successful method to keep your home safe and pest free. Even the best pest control products on the market (we use only the best) are effective at controlling pest activity for 30-90 days.
Is there a contract?
No. We believe if we do our job right you’ll never want to quit using us. You know the old saying “put your money where your mouth is” – yep, we did that.
We have ‘Service Agreements’ that specify your pricing and give us permission to treat your property and charge your payment method; as required by our insurance company and payment processor(s). If you signed up for service under a special promotional offer, you may be required to re-pay the original discount amount if cancelling within 12-months. This will be clearly specified in the service agreement that you signed so there are no surprises.
How often do you treat my home?
We treat your home on a regularly scheduled bi-monthly basis – about every 60 days. As part of our Happiness Guarantee – If you have an unacceptable amount of pest activity in between regularly scheduled visits, PLEASE contact us and we’d be happy to re-treat at no charge to you.
Is there a record of past services?
Yes. You have your own private secure online customer portal where you can see all past services, invoices and update payment information. You can access your portal by clicking the ‘Customer Portal’ link in your most recent email you received from us after your last service or by clicking on ‘Customer Login’ at the top of our website.
